Isn't that just going back to a card swipe machine with the old paper?
Almost, just new tech, will be fun to see how it is going to work and how to exploit it maybe.

I took a glance at that article but if that's the case then you guys don't have any option left but your crowd is more technology savvy and awareness is better than here in India

Well, the thing is that here only like 10% of the population pays with cash since we are almost cashless in payments, so yes we might be a bit more in to techy side of payments here.

We use a thing called Swish here, almost the same but it also needs some sort of network connection and is not for offline use.
