It's fine, you can add links in sm profiles and shares even with the intent of having the pages from the links indexed / indexed faster without it being classed as 'blackhat' - all within reason though. It's when it's done obsessively that was the issue, but I don't think that really works the way it once did anyway.

These distinction is imaginable. You can play nice and by the book, but buying links is technically not whitehat. So..
