This new auto post merge. I don't like it.

Is there a time limit that can be set before it merges with a previous post.

I get to make things tidy and that, but what a bastard it is.

Simply. I don't like it.

Why? I assume it has a 20 minutes limit, after which posts can't be edited.
Maybe it overrides it?

No its longer than 20min

It auto merges anything you post to the previous one above it. Shit. I dont like it.

Change. Sucks.

Yeah I also dont think if you tag someone in a follow up post and it auto merges I dont think they get the notification either...

Because it's technically an edit. XenForo and their nonsense.

Well it's a post. ..

If I wanted to add something to the post and tag another member in they no longer the notification. I know thats down to it classing as a post edit. But it's not an edit in the first place.

I'm not a fan of this feature. It's only so much of an issue due to the smaller user base we have currently

It's 60 minutes right now.

I figured that was going to be too long, but I wasn't sure what to change it to.

What do you think is a reasonable time limit? 15 minutes?

It's set at the usergroup level. All registered members have it set to 60 minutes, but I can adjust it for Platinum, Sapphire, Founding, etc. I'd prefer to just have it be the same for everyone, though.

15-20min?

As the use base grows it should be less of an issue

I'll set it to 15 minutes for now, but if anyone else wants to suggest something else, I can take that into consideration as well.

should eventually be the same as the lock out time imo
and 60 1-2 stars
40 for 3 stars
30 for 4 stars
20 for 5 stars
lockout time for 6 stars
heh
