Is social posting with the intent to push or grow a brand done?

You know like the traditional you see everywhere "post more content" is that even worth it? What do you think?

I'm not sure I'm pro posting anymore, IF what I offer is any good then customers will talk about it for me? No?

I think with AI the age of posting on social or the advice of building a brand is almost done, I still think building a brand if it's needed is the right course of action. But I think growth will come from your customers talking about you, rather than trying to talk to them.

The new trend will be underselling and overdelivering, what do you think?

Right, wrong, thoughts?

I think it depends on niche really and network. Wedding posts on IG works but I bet selling webdesign services there won`t work, have not tried though.

Yeah I guess it's going to depend. Also depend on the type of service and where you promote it has a valid point, right platform for the right service.

I personally feel it should be the other way around. Our social feed used to be just constant product promotion, now we do tips, resource shares and everything else. BUT still don't push it as hard as we should.

Our socials are a joke state wise for the size of the company.

But our customers tend to promote us and talk about us, recommend etc. I just think that's the way it's going or should be going as in that would be the next 'big thing' in social. Forget posting and try get customers talking about you instead.

I could be way off.

It depends on niche for example if you were running fitness or beauty site then I would recommend posting on Instagram or Pinterest for getting a good following on your social media but you could do well on other social media platforms as well.

I get paid little bit on instagram I don't that hard I will do more later this year but people are attractive to followers since that to them shows success as long they are real followers and you get real like or shares.

I think one should make an exceptional product or service and let word of mouth do its thing regardless of social media.

So you are in favour of posting still rather than let your customers post and talk about you?

Yes this is where I'm getting.

See you like Gary V don't you? He's still very much post on social etc.. And I think that way of thinking is done.

And what you said is the way to go.

Undersell and over deliver

I have Gary Vees book.

The jab jab right hook one.

But I don't really follow him much tbh.

I do however follow Gary V 2.0, Alex Hormozi.

I know Alex talks about many people think their product is amazing and exceptional but in reality it's shit.

Yes you can make money from it or boost traffic. Custom posting great no doubt about or talking about you or word of mouth very powerful but getting found or more known is good idea.

I am just using a simple example my Pinterest gives me like 50 to like 200 traffic per month now not amazing or great but still gives me a little extra money per month.

You can for example sell physical products through it on pinterest if you got Ecommerce site it done well enough I suspect with some work make fairly easy £100 to £1000 sales per month from Pinterest probably more if you took it more serious. I did used to okay on it planning to do big things this year through my automation system.

For example I like Linux and I am after a new Linux computer if you posted something on Pinterest or Instagram which shown what I like or found interesting I may buy through for you. If you made the computer yourself say £2000 computer. Lets say your costs to make and sell were say £500 then you made £1500 out of me. If you sold say 2 month give you extra say £3000 and bit less including other expenses so say rough amount of say net profit of like £2500 of 2 sales

Not got either of their books myself. I just know his generic post post mantra that's all..

Yeah I know you like V2.0

I think my product is amazing... Uh ho

Thing is as well you can have maybe a mid level product but if the service is high enough I think that works..

It got me thinking as I saw or read something about the biggest brands or recent companies with massive growth. (something like that)

They got there because they over deliver on service, product or concept what ever it maybe and it ends up with people talking about them.

But if you sold a better computer for less money you wouldn't need people to find you they would come to you?

You still need found.

I will give you another example at the moment I am deciding between another Raspberry Pi or two of it's competitors one called Banana Pi and South Korean more expensive version of both instead of like £89 costs like £300. Now price for me is not issue or problem when I buy a computer I read as much specs or information as possible if I don't get it I will ask the seller or do my own research. Price is not really govern force to much for buying a computer I use for work.

You still need found.
But those previous customers tell friends and so on and so on so they come to you.

Being found isn't a problem if they come directly to you.

That's sort of my point if you offer higher than expected services or product when customer has low expectations.

You don't need to worry about social or search. No?

It's like a good painter or builder. They don't advertise they do 1 good job once, word gets around and they booked up for month if not longer in advance.

I get you word of mouth kind of stuff or past customers it can work well you are right but it kind of goes back to my thinking to grow sales. I know some people happy with say for example $10,000 sales per month want no more kind of people which is fine but many want to growth which can be done through Search.

A local Deli in my area is quite famous in my area or around the world so it does have very good word of mouth customers and I am sure many positive customers but when a new business bakery moved here a lot of sales went to the bakery over more word of mouth plus many people who go to that bakery in their home area live near by so probably most people in this area already went to it since they were children or young adults if they said to me do SEO for them yes I could increase their sales or get more traffic then I could easy do it

Yeah I understand your point. I more than get it.

But I'm saying growth everything will come from over delivering on a promise vs any kind of advertising you can do.

Yes I would agree but it still goes back to word of mouth how big mouth is.

For example I always talk about ferrets so I got a load of people always ready to give me ferrets so from word of mouth viewpoint I am perfect to get more ferrets now as one of my ferret lady friend told me her jill give birth to 6 more
