So, I was trying out using a privacy.com card for a free trial of YouTube Premium since it was offered to me today.
When you go to add the card to your "Google Wallet" or whatever it's called, it does the usual $0 authorisation. No problem there.
However, when you try to get the free trial, Google tries charging the card for the full amount right away.
My guess is that this is a temporary hold until the free trial period ends, but I take this is a way to combat using this kind of method with them. After all, those of us who do SEO know that Google tends to be more privy to those methods than most.
