Content of Jim browning for example is not advertisement friendly since it's related to hacking, yet it has pre roll ads and ads in the side bar.
Yes but he's supported by the British government so that will help him I think
 
Running YouTube ads worked well in the past. Now, it really doesn’t pay the bills unless you’re in a high CPM niche or getting millions of views. No wonder so many videos today are packed with sponsored ads.

I am currently restarting youtube. Longform. Definitely different but it seems like ad prices are higher than before

You're showing your face or faceless? I used to have faceless + aff links (never monetized my vids with ads), looking to do yt again but with my face (I do something else now so it takes a while to do all of these at the same time lol).

Q4 is always the highest. Especially in December, the ad prices are crazy, almost 300% than what they are compared to other months. Wish you all the best in your Youtube Journey.
