Search Engines

Alternative to Google like Baidu and Bing, alternative to the concept of search engines like LLM models, or alternative to the entire reality as using Ouija boards to find the answers I'm looking for?

Even though Google is still the big player, options like DuckDuckGo, Startpage, and Brave Search are starting to get popular because they focus more on privacy. Take DuckDuckGo for instance. It doesn’t keep track of your searches which is nice for people who are fed up with being shadowed by ads.

Tor is the one, I have used for several works. Not Ultimate but needed one.

I’d say based on my own personal experiences via analytics reports Google and Bing are the only ones worth mentioning for most people at least outside of the other major economic regions - Russia, China and Japan. If you are trying to optimise for bing, you’ll be hitting most of the small search providers anyway as they all use bings algos. Other than that, the only other general search engine to watch is Meta still testing it’s own but they seem determined.
