My best friend name is Mei.
We meet through friends few years ago.
We still friends but kiss all time. At first on cheek but then on lips cause she turn her head toward me by accident. We never kiss before that, not kiss anyone else.
Now we kiss all time. It our way of saying we just friends but nothing more.
We sometimes do other stuff but we both say we like to just be friends.
After all that you did to Chris you *won't* bully me for being socially awkward, fuck off.

I can't get over the fact that supposedly nerdy communities have a problem with people being introverted or wearing glasses (that's what got Chris accused of being Sartre the first time. Yes, really - he got bullied on nerdy forum for wearing glasses). I didn't comment on that post, but when I read @Zwielicht complained about @Impulse having problems at her job at the other forum... Idk, maybe she just wasn't appreciated for different things she does in the background that are crucial but maybe not as flashy, happens to women all the time. But honestly? To me she just sounded introverted. She doesn't talk to people much... And? What's the problem exactly? We need to normalize introversion in geeky communities, this is crazy. @Rem I wasn't ignoring you, just my dms aren't very lively. I mostly go on sales dms and that's it, other things are less common for me.

Most of the problems will be fixed also if they started to drink hard liquor 99% of nerd problems would instantly be fixed.

I'd say that's accurate: I tend to work on flashier things and I also announce what I do fairly often, whereas she does a lot of background work and stays quiet about it. Both are very important, but they don't get the same recognition. What many don't realise is that it's thanks to the work she does in the background that I'm able to get those flashier things done so quickly. Sometimes, she even helps me do research to make something even better and vice versa.
We're both introverted, but she really doesn't like talking to others at all. Neither do I, but I'm more willing to talk than she is and I'm definitely a lot more social when it comes to forums (not in person, though). Despite that, there are situations where at least one of us needs to talk, and it tends to end up being me even when I don't want that.
For instance, there are times where I really don't want to talk when someone tries deferring to me, and she'll notice right away and start talking. But then, these jackasses just turn their head back toward me and respond to what she said as if I said it? Whenever that happens, I just stare at them and let her keep talking.
We've always felt it was pretty clear there's a degree of sexism there as we can tell some defer to me by default just because I'm male; it happens a lot whilst we're out in public. We usually get confirmation of it when someone makes a remark about her cleaning and cooking and me doing handywork; we do everything together, so we don't separate out tasks like that.
