Here in the "Wanted: Goods & Services" section, you can post an ad looking for services offered by freelancers or specific goods.

Anyone can post an ad in this section regardless of their user level, but only those in the following membership levels can respond:

• Sapphire Status
• Platinum Status
• Founding Members

In order to streamline your experience in this section, those looking to post a thread here have fields they can fill out to provide the following information:

• Budget: how much you can spend on the goods or services.
• Preferred Contact Method: How do you want the other party to contact you? Over our messaging system or off the platform?
• Payment Method: How do you plan on paying for the goods or services? PayPal, Stripe, crypto, etc.
• Required Turnaround: How fast do you need this delivered? This field is the only that's optional.

What's neat about this section is that these are required fields, so every thread you come across will consistently have this information.

Q. Do I need to have a timeframe in mind for the turnaround time?
A. No. If you don't have a required turnaround time, then you can just put "N/A" in that field.

Q. Can I start a thread requesting something I want for free?
A. No. This section is not for requesting freebies, it's for exchanges.

Have An Issue With A Transaction?
We want to prevent issues as much as possible, but issues do occur sometimes. If you feel someone has not delivered what they said they would, you can open up a thread in the "The Tribunal".

We only ask that you try your best to resolve the issue with the other party and alert them of you intention of opening a thread in The Tribunal before doing so.

Can we post a 'wanted' thread without any of the requirements?
For example,
I need someone to scrape me some data or sell me a list of X,Y,Z.
I don't have a specific timeframe or price in mind, nor a payment method. Would this qualify for a wanted thread?

That's a good question, but I might need a bit more information on that.

If there's no timeframe, you can just put 'none' if you want to fill out the field. However, @Impulse just made this one optional.

The payment method is how you plan on paying them for the work. If you're not sure, you can always just fill out the field with something like, "We'll work with you on the payment". There's no hard requirement.

I'll update the opening post with this information as well.

Yeah, this is definitely temporary. There was a thread in the feedback section suggesting to limit it to those who are eligible for Sapphire Status (currently 2 stars and 1 week on the forum). We're going to raising the requirements up for Sapphire Status over time, we just have them low right now because we're manually approving accounts here and nearly everyone who joined the last month is pretty reputable.
