If you like Ghost, you might wanna take a look at what the new version brings to the table.

Do you use Ghost?

Used it was not that impressed by it. Wordpress did have a competitor which was better called Bread but they never kept it running so fell out of popularity

That must have been tiny, never even heard of it.
It was pretty big a couple of years ago.

It was like wordpress but much faster and much more secure.

I think some were put off you had to have bit of coding experience to do it but it was great in the past.

I can recall a few SEO'S had big pbn networks using it plus other cms

Yeah, found it on GitHub, not even close to a competitor against WordPress.

Well, WordPress itself is secure, it comes down to non secure third party plugins that are not coded well, but WP is fully secure in it`s code. That is happening to any CMS that allows third party plugins/or components to be added.

It's not secure anyone with even basic hacking knowledge can break through it easy.

Plugins can be connected true but being able to hacked through it is very easy even the security plugins such as wordfence be broke though very easy.

It was much more maintained in the past I found that as well but they did have popular website in the past plus different promoters off it

Well, agree to disagree on the secure part of WordPress core code.

nothing is truly secure, with technology advancing at such a rapid pace.
that's why security patches always happen over time....
It's no different than saying no browser is secure, so no point accessing the net.
But that is besides the point, WP on it's core is as good as it gets.

Heard of it but never looked in to it seriously. Just based on the architecture alone, it would be crazy to not consider something like this over legacy crap like WP.

As for the issue with security, I think you can't fault the vanilla codebase out of the box but the moment you start adding plugins, all bets are off. Even if you're a php / wp pro, the kitchen sink approach to fixing a site with dozens of plugins is more effort than it's worth. Not to mention the aount of reliance yo put in in to dozens of company's or devs. Also worth mentioning that I havne't once come across a wp to mobile app converter whether an app or a dedicated service that didn't monumentally f things up.

You'd probably have a better and easier time, as I found at myself, simply learning how to code with angular/analog, vue/nuxt, deno/fresh and even some basic Ionic for cross-platform sites and apps. Absolutely not difficult and you don't even really need to touch JS or TS code itself. I would be willing to bet the more 'modularised' the modern web becomes, the more the market share of fullstack JS based tech will increase and is yet to boom.
