Few months ago I first heard of Vibe Coding.
VibeCoding as a word/definition was first mentioned on X here. But the most important thing for you to know is that vibe coding shifts focus from manual code writing to conversational prompts.
Sounds boring already?
Remember when you were wowed with Midjourney and the way you can get an image by writing a simple prompt. You can now do this with Websites, Apps and more. You can basically churn out massive sites in a matter of hours/days.
Here is an example- My latest project is a destination site on WP. I even bought a $89 theme on Themeforest because I used the old ways. I wanted my new site too look and feel like a proper, almost official presentation with a lot of content.
Spent days tweaking this silly theme that looked great on Themeforest. With theme a dozen plugins came in, making more problems than solutions. So I started opening support tickets with theme developers.
This is where I lost it and opened a couple of Vibecoding accounts with several providers. I already had an account with v0 -thanks @t0mmy ( the first vibecoding platform I heard about) and then continued with Blink, Bolt and Floot.
The best thing? They all have free tier which you can use to test them out. They all work with tokens/credits and in my opinion v0 offers the most usage on a free tier.
In the beggining I didnt know what to do with v0, but then I realised the possibilities. Once you are satisfied with your latest vibecoded creation, you just hit Deploy button and connect your work with a domain, that you can also buy with many of these AI tools.
Hosting is free, and your site is faster than any WP site or "diamond" level hosting plan that you are probably over-paying.
So, back to my latest project. It is still hosted on WP, but I am working with Floot (ref. link to "earn" more free tokens, and you can accomplish a lot with free credits) to finish everything out, and once all looks polished, I will probably change my DNS data and host the entire project with them.
I decided to use many of these tools in free tier cause why not? I am paying v0 though. It is $20/month and when you compared this to paying $20 for one article on Upwork just 5 years ago...it is insane. With these $20 you can finish 5 different projects, not just content, but everything else (well, almost).
Six months ago I wanted to retire from working online, and now I work more than ever, cause the fun is back. I even created vibe coding tools directory, cause it took me a couple of hours to do this .
And not just this, I saw a problem on one subreddit, so I created a solution for the subreddit because it was fun and easy, I am not rearning anything with this.
Wanna copy someones site? Just tell that to your AI tool and they will give their best. They are still at the start, but I am sure this time next year VibeCoding will explode.
