How do you guys usually design your thumbnails?

No, I wouldn't.
I use default thumbnail and CTR is the same as with custom ones.
But it varies by niche.

Minimal effort, a lot more text than I usually try to output to see how accurate the detailed numbers are(graph numbers)

edit: you could prompt 100 variations of a thumbnail and still pay less than hiring a graphic designer

Nah bro making your own gives you the best control but might not be a bad thing for tubers starting out.

I just made a step in the game.
I have made 100s of them last 2 months, but this step seems to make sense on some keywords.

But it'll cost an extra account verification on YouTube + you either have to pay $15 for this tool or develop your own.

I'll develop my own in Python.

Mind it I have hundreds of accounts running, so as always it takes some pain for 1 step. Software integrations aren't that easy even with AI.
