Seems like a Standing Desk might not be that healthy after all, hmm.

Do you have one or use one?

What is your take on it?

I'm laying down in my bed for 12 hours a day + walking about 3 hours around the city.

My mother took away an ikea "Marcus" chair, so my brother could have better one and I didn't use that chair anyway due to me laying down since about 8 months at the time.

I'm getting up few times a day. I keep my life as bland and simple as I can.

I have massive weight. 20 kg overweight. This issue has happened to me for the first time in my life after certain medicine.

I believe such studies are generalizing and extrapolating them on us is pointless. The idea to move and change positions makes sense.

I feel like one device isn't enough. I have one laptop, but feel like having 3 would be the sweet spot, so I could walk around the room and do different tasks and perform different tests on each of them.

I do a lot of tests as I'm involved in social media marketing.

Having a laptop won't help.

Get the fuck up and stop relaxing on the bed.

Also exercise.

Sorry fella your post just sounds like a pitty party. Do something about it.

Having more tech seriously isn't the answer.

Best of luck to you

I use one. But causes backpain over time. Gets very uncomfortable. I end up sitting 90% of the times. It's not hard to make. Just a desk slightly taller when you make one or buy readymade one with a hydraulic.

I made my own desk slightly taller with no hydraulic. But my gaming chair has an hydraulic so i can still sit.

But from what hear from other users. It's effective. Am probably not willing to go through that initial backpain standing.

But is it really effective, or just a justification from them against other people as they had spent a good chunk of money to buy it? A little like the Iphone syndrome.

I don't have a standing desk, but tbh I mostly dance 😂 or stand while working, walking around in nervous circles also happens a lot 😂. Bruh, if I tried a pedometer it'd fuckin break. I literally dance (or at least stomp from one foot to another) while answering sales dms. But hey, heard about people doing these stoned (and can't blame them, gotta survive the day somehow 😆). Laying in bed also happens a lot. I'm one of these people that keep smartphone next to bed, I open my eyes in the morning and start scrolling (that does include dms from current clients and sales dms, researching shit, editing and so on).

Mine wasn't expensive. It's just a normal desk but I made it a bit taller. You can still make your own. Not sure if you have those readymade plywood in your country. It will probably take about 6-10 hours to make one. A nice side project.

I saw readymade hydraulic ones for 100-120 USD on Amazon. Just those are noblewood and not the usual ply or 100% wood.

@Rem is the Kangaroo authority.

Myself? If I wanted to stand all day I wouldn't choose an office job.
