Have you ever had a road accident?

In 1997 when i was in 7th standard, my auto overturned to save a girl who is driving bicycle.
Driver injured a lot but we all saves, my fingers were injured as i am unable to write or eat anything. Still having marks on my right hand last finger.

My grandma had during work, she had some titanium in her spine later, I think.

Not road, but concrete bench falled on my feet last year, somehow I'm fine, had stitches.

How are you feeling?

Yeah, a few times. I'm not the most patient driver.

Just sound shit rather than patient.

Yeah I had a big one my BMW M5 I went over 100mph into a barrier the back end kicked out on a turn I tried to correct and power out of it and ended up hitting the barrier.

2007 that was. The steering column went through my legs breaking my knees, I dislocated and broke my shoulder trying to shoulder barge the door open to get out, I was covered in blood, oil, fuel, commando crawled away from the crash only to remember my phone as in centre console.

(I was only 5min away from hospital)

Plenty of people where swan necking to look I remember that and as I started to crawl back this polish guy with broken English grabbed me and dragged me away from it.

Said no worry I phoned ambulance and police you ok sir

I remember when the police turned up they thought I was dead, when they found out I was in the back of the ambulance they made me do a breathalyzer said if I failed id have to pay council to clean up the mess and damage to the wall and barrier .. I passed (I later found out even if I had failed it wouldn't have mattered because I was in the ambulance on gas and air or whatever they shouldn't have done it would have gotten me off anyway)

I remember the whole thing was over in seconds but sat in the car I just relaxed as I was going to this barrier I thought I was going through and into the petrol tanker the entire thing felt like 20min, to this day I can see the guy clear as anything in the tanker looking at me, I can see every air bag go off in the car, the white dust / powder and they all inflated in one and me just going towards the steering wheel in slow motion.

Doctor thinks if I didn't relax in that moment id be dead from the impact.

Was told id never walk again but I did.

Insurance claim hurt... I had the car less than a week and they had to pay out full retail on the car...

Only one I had touch wood. Hit plenty of stuff like a sheep or lamp post but thats because I was young and an ass hole

Hope you are fine.

Well, you ain`t really "driving" if you ain`t get involved in accidents, push that pedal man. So yes, I had a bunch of them, comes with the fun.

Just sound shit
I used to doze off a lot when I was driving. Hard to stay concentrated on something that I find so painfully boring.

I became a lot better at it since I got married and had kids but I still am the least patient driver on the road wherever I am there. These days I just drive more carefully.

Obviously I suck at driving, but it's really hard for me to get good at things I find as boring as this.

Recovering from terrible accidents takes time , not only physically but mentally too.

Hope you are doing great and wish you good health.

Yeah I used to love driving, I hate it now. Too many cars on the road, it's just not enjoyable for me anymore. Crash has nothing to do with it, I just don't like it.

Aye I was fine after it I did put weight on because I could really move and it stopped my martial arts career but thats a whole other story.

Yeah I'm fine thanks for asking. Takes more than a car to end me.

Same here mate. Sometime talking up to two hour delays just to drive a few miles to town. It's getting ridiculous.
