According to leaked information, they’re going to announce tomorrow a brand-new feature — smart automation.

In simple terms: you’ll be able to build real AI agents without writing a single line of code. Think of it as a far smarter version of Zapier or Make, but supercharged with OpenAI’s capabilities.

Here’s what it’s supposed to include:

A drag-and-drop interface for building AI agents

Ready-made templates, support, data management, dashboards, and more

One-click integrations with external tools

What it might look like in practice

Want a customer-service bot?
Pick a template
Connect it to your system
Add a human-approval step if needed
Test and deploy, that’s it.

OpenAI isn’t just “a company with an API” anymore.
They’re building the backbone for a new no-code business world.
To me this is really impressive, and even takes the edge off claims like in this thread:

This is big. Especially for dumbasses such as myself..

Translated from Hebrew using my insufferable $20/mo employee.

Fuck, now selling making AI agents as a service or teaching how to make them will be dead too. Do they plan to kill every possible job or freelance opportunity?

I see it the exact opposite. Imagine what a skilled person can to if they utilize this?

Ok, so I jumped the gun with the whole "leak" thing..

OpenAI needs to make profit somehow..

So if it means killing thousands of smaller businesses thet use their tech why not.

Also if you are still in the business it will become harder to compete with them, since you have base costs, they do not..

Blockbuster vs Netflix all over again
