What in the American bald-eagle freedom fuck is ”Super kingsize Tempur mattress”.

Tempur

Tempur mattresses are unique due to their proprietary TEMPUR® Material, a viscoelastic foam originally developed by NASA that is specifically engineered to adapt to an individual's body shape, weight, and warmth for pressure relief and motion absorption. Unlike some traditional memory foams that can feel too firm, TEMPUR® material is designed to dynamically contour to your body and has a specific formula and construction process, with fewer than 10 people in the world knowing its secret formula,

It's the same brand that owns Sealy. You've heard of Sealy at least right? Formerly a luxury brand that it bought to revamp as a mass market product at least.

If that, whatever American garbage that you just referred to, is the go-to definition of a ’quality’ bed for you, we have nothing to talk about lol.

I'd say someone trying hard (and very aggressively at that for some reason) to come across as some kind of mattress connoisseur butt apparently hasn't even so much as heard of Tempur-pedic probably means we don't have much to talk about here. Indeed.

Maybe step it up a notch in class, and you might find that 3.5k for a made-to-measure bed is on the cheaper end of (actual) quality beds.

How does a bed simply being 'made to measure' make it high quality. Who gives a shit if it's 'made to measure'? Why would a human being need a made to measure bed anyway, unless they're like 7ft tall 🤣

Doesn't appear we've following the same definition of 'quality' here simply throwing money at stuff just because it's rare hardly make sit 'better quality' imho

It became the weirdest pissing contest I've ever seen.
Carry on, don't let me interrupt you.

Personally, if it's flat and horizontal to the ground I'd be fine with it.

Hey I don't even own a Tempur myself. I was just making a point the 3.5k is pleny for a top notch bed... for normal people. I did just have a little gander and it seems the beds for the super rich are as ridiculous as I imagined they would be...

I mean if you have the kind of money that you can comfortably spend five, six, or seven figures on a bed just because it had a built in cupholder or toilet then fine, more power to you but at that point laughing at someone for sleeping on a normal bed is like owning a super yacht and laughing at someone for driving a car :ROFLMAO:

Yeah but the bed and mattress are two separate things.

The more expensive something is, the higher the quality it’s presumed to be produced with.

But there's diminishing return on the quality.

Fair point I over looked yes but they do come with mattresses as complete beds in this case. But principle is the same (I hope)... that being said, you're talking to someone that was reading about the benefits of sleeping on hard floors so it's all the same to me but obviously clearly not for people that claim to sleep on and to measure beds 🤣

Edit: here is a page on expensive mattresses alone - https://www.dreamcloudsleep.com/posts/whats-inside-the-most-expensive-mattresses-in-the-world

No mention of quality ie orthopaedic benefit, still just gold this or that.

To be fair, I think that by 'measured' he meant 'adjusted' in terms of hardness etc..

Fucks knows what he meant. This is what I got - 'A meade to measure bed is a fully customized sleeping solution tailored to your exact specifications, unlike mass-produced standard-size beds that follow fixed dimensions. Whether you need a longer, wider, or uniquely shaped bed, opting for a bespoke design ensures that your bed fits perfectly into your space and meets your personal comfort requirements.'

I'm no pro though 🤷‍♂️

Yes. Entirely my bad for researching and investing money into the very thing that I spend one third of my life in, and directly affects my life/health for the other two thirds.

What are you even saying, xd?

You’re surprised to get to know that every human body differs.
Made-to-measure in this sense means a ’tailored’ bed for your spine, not your height.

These companies usually have you take a 3D scan of your body, and create the bed in a way that ’forces’ your body (and spine) to naturally be at the most optimal position for resting.
Ever tried sleeping on a hard floor with no cushions of any sorts? You’ll quickly find that your body, most importantly your neck and shoulder area, are on tension, and you’ll just wake up stiff and hurting.

Same principle goes for all mass produced beds and mattresses.

Yes, the mass produced shitter mattresses are fine for most people, but you can not argue with me that they’re even remotely as good as made-to-measured beds.

3.5k€ is in the cheaper end of tailored beds.
I consider that cheap as fuck for what it is - a big upgrade for your health.

A lot of people will purchase cars worth 5-figures just to drive a bit nicer car for maybe an hour a day, but still sleep on a $400 shitter mattress.

If it was my decision to make, I’d make people buy a $10k tailored bed and let them drive a $2k pizza delivery Yaris instead.

But, if you’re the kind of guy to think that off-the-rack Suitsupply is the pinnacle of fashion, I won’t argue with you any further on the matter.

Ok mate. Thanks for clearing up your definition of made to measure here. That is all new to me and nice to know (y)

Yeah, I spend half my waking life in Champion Tracksuits and Converse trainers so we're probably not on the same wavelength. No idea what suitsupply is, I got an armani suit someone gifted me that been doing me well for two years now though. Is that 'chic' enough, or nah? :D

You do you, love

Just saying that if you’d get a made-to-measure bed right now, you’d think of it as your best investment ever made. Give it a thought.
Unless you of course think that caring for your own health and life quality is too elitist or ’chic’.
