X (Twitter) Regaining access to old Twitter account

I have an account from around 2008. I have the password, I have access to old gmail that I registered it with but X just won't let me login. I tried regaining access through email support but no go. It's crazy, I actually logged in before COVID and that account has link to my website in bio and my website has Whatsapp number that I can be contacted on. There are photos of me on profile picture and header lol. Like, basically it'd be even possible to video verify it's the same person if they were so extra . Idk, maybe that account got compromised? Someone wants to buy the username from me. It's short and generic eh, so I guess it's a bit like people buying domain names, he doesn't even want the account, just wants the name. Any chance of getting this account back?

Might want to look into this one but if you can’t regain access to it they might respond to a GDPR account deletion request. Those companies are quicker to respond to GDPR requests usually.

No idea if that will free up the username though but something else to consider if it does.

Hmm what did the support on X say? Did they give a reason for not giving you access?

Also why doesn’t it let you log in? What kind of error comes up when you try?

'Find your account in X' (but I see the profile exists) and then it redirects to Help Center 'I’m having problems with account access'

Typical corporation lol.

What if you tried sending in tickets that your an account is compromised instead? Maybe sending in something like that might put you in touch with an actual person instead of their AI support.

It’s like the only way you can get them to help you is by getting a famous person to complain on your behalf. Don’t happen to know any famous people do you?
