This is inspiring, not because he is a Viking, but as a young guy making it, and did it under 3 years.

A 26-year-old Swedish AI co-founder, Arvid Lunnemark, is now officially a dollar billionaire!

He's one of the minds behind Anysphere, the company that developed the popular AI-powered code editor "Cursor". The company just secured a massive $2.3 billion funding round, pushing its valuation to an insane $29.3 billion. This valuation means his stake (and the other three co-founders') is worth an estimated $1.3 billion—over 12 billion kronor!

Talk about an incredible success story. From studying at MIT to co-founding a company that reportedly went from $1 million to $100 million in recurring revenue in just one year, and now crossing $1 billion in annual revenue. The growth is just mind-blowing.

Interestingly, despite this massive win, Lunnemark actually just left his operational role at Anysphere to start a new company, "Integrous Research," focused on building "safer AI." Seems he's not resting on his laurels one bit.

It’s amazing to see a Swede achieving this kind of global tech success at such a young age. What do you all think about this news? Are any of you using Cursor for your projects?

He won a gold medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad, so I guess he was smart, did not find anything of his "wealthy" background though. But even if that would be the case, he made it by being smart.
Not saying he's not smart or doesn't deserve it. Just saying there's more people involved. Even for a college application like this, you need your family's support, you need to be in good standing (politically too), you need high school teachers' recommendations (bribing strategically might help with this), you need favour at the university itself. Then he networked at MIT, this being tech school obviously has startup folks. There's like a ton of people involved in this, that's all. This doesn't mean he isn't talented or smart too, but he needed support of all these people. That's the actual networking you all keep babbling about lol.

Yes, connections is important, so start networking even if it does not give you rent money today, it comes a time when you can cash in on it later. You need to want the connections, they don`t suddenly appear on your door step, you got to do the job and kiss asses if you wanna be rich, no matter what you think about asses.

That's what you get in a college like MIT the connections...

Kudos to the guy

Studied at MIT... Trust fund kid 100%
Most trust fund kids burn their money on yacht parties, so it's refreshing seeing someone make it this big this early, trust fund or not.

Yes, it is easier to network there, but you can get them everywhere, it is up you how much you want the connections, everyone can get them, it just takes hard work and motivation.

Yeah, that's literally why you go to a college like that, not for classes even, lol. You won't meet people that useful on the street.
kiss asses
You got to pay them lol, nobody will do shit for free only because fRiEnDs.

Again, nothing against him, just stating the obvious.
