Feature What You Need To Know About Our "Outlaws Recently Online" Widget

Here on Office Outlaw, we have an "Outlaws Recently Online" widget. This works similarly to features on other sites that display members who are online in order of recent activity, but with a few additional features:

1. If you log out, you'll still appear in the list for the next week.
2. Instead of a messy and rather dated list of usernames, this widget new widget displays the avatars of users. Hovering over the avatars displays a pop-up of their profiles.
3. Banned members who log into their accounts do not show up in this list.
4. Simply logging in is not enough to display you in the list. You have to visit a thread or, you know, use the forum to show up.
5. If you don’t display your online status, you will not show up in the widget.
6. Like the old widget, this one shows the number of guests online.

This widget shows up on the homepage, thread views, forum lists, and all the usual spots the other main widgets show up in.

Makes sense to add this in. It seems like this kind of widget works better for smaller forums to show activity. Nice add in.

The old one used to show usernames despite the privacy setting, but only to admins and moderators.

I managed to adjust it on the new one just now so that users who don’t display their online status won’t show up on the list. This new widget apparently keeps the users invisible to admins and mods as well, but that’s not really an issue. I checked this from an alt, so it should be working, but let me know if you still show up in the list.

One thing to keep in mind with this adjustment is that the number of members online won’t match the number of avatars displayed. I’ll see if I can change this later to make it less confusing.

Edit: I also made it so that the new widget shows guest count as that was apparently missing as well.

Edit 2: It’s also missing the bot count for some reason. I’ll probably skip adding this in so that the widget doesn’t become cluttered.

I’m glad that’s fixed bro. I keep mine off for the same reason I set my whole profile to members only. You know I don’t want those pricks working for the other place to find out who I am and start messaging me there just cause I’m online here alot.
