That's how Asia deals with immigrants. Don't get me started on getting an actual business/work permit, this article is about visa without work allowed. Meanwhile, Europe accepts the worst scum of the earth from all over the world and even gives them free money. Something's very wrong here, we shouldn't give money away like that in Europe.

Dunno...

The example it gave is no longer being able to stay if you only have 800,000 bat? 20k in £

Guess it's cheaper to live but I understand maintaining that financial threshold to stay there.

I totally agree with the points you raised tho.

From your perspective it's not a lot but taking into account low costs of living in these countries they basically want way more than is required to live comfortably there just for visa purposes and you're supposed to freeze this money instead of using it for investments for example and you're not supposed to work... Then how the hell are you supposed to be self-sufficient if they deny you work? You file shittons of paperwork and you're still denied work but you're supposed to transfer your money to their shady bank in the middle of nowhere. Hell no.

That's a pretty low amount, around £19,000 to be pretty reasonable.

I could understand if it was like £100,00 be bit much for many

It's a middle of nowhere, though. For more expensive you can move your ass to a tier 1 country. These countries are typically where people with less money move to use the exchange rate. If I was more affluent I'd gladly move to something like, idk... Liechtenstein? For example 😂. Also in these Asian countries you're not supposed to work on retirement visa obviously, so they're literally not allowed to earn more, money is supposed to magically fall from the sky.

Disclaimer: I had enough for a visa for Sri Lanka but they didn't want to give a work permit and I'd prefer to have this legalized, not pay for visa that doesn't allow me to work legally, so I left. I know some countries, for example Mauritius (that's already in Africa) will normally give you work permit and once a year they give you tax residency documents, so you can send to your birth country that you're a tax resident of Mauritius now. Sri Lanka didn't want to give me tax residency but they wanted to take my money, I won't pay for someone to basically shit in my papers.

I would not fully agree. Most of the older people who move to Thailand are often millionaires or richer, which would mean this should not affect much.

I know few boomers who retired, their it will make no difference to their lives .

Many SEO people I know get around by getting a student visa, which often fixed quick for them or some kind of business as well.

Like always, do what works for you. I don't doubt their stupid or annoying rules in parts of the world for visas or other things

What should do if you decide a country you like the most get for example I am planning a golden Visa.

I keep receiving messages of @TheVigilante saying"Dude where are my two ferrets" so I will go to India drop off his delivery then meet with Modi so we get India 3billion ferrets

Are you crazy? Do you seriously suggest getting a visa without work permit and breaching visa rules by working without a work permit? Perfect way to end up harassed by immigration officers 🙄. I'll add this to 'stupid advice from the internet' category.

Yeah, sure, thanks.

Like I said some countries have self sufficient visas (so you prove income but you can work legally), some have easier residences like Latin countries or EU countries (since I have EU passport). So I'm thinking something along these lines eh. For now I'll need to nomad for a bit, I think, and I'm not happy about it 🙁.

I know plenty who are doing it without issues. Thailand is full of them.

You are the only person to date heard of got any of these visa issues all the time. I know of plenty who lived in China and never had any of the issues you keep seeming to have. I would say China is probably one of the hardest to get into unless you meet certain conditions.

Be Noman or not, your choice.

So 2026 you going to stay where you are while you sort some bits out or you thinking back to EU? (well "Europe")

What about Malaysia or something like that?

I don't mean to pry I am just genuinely interested.

My yt feed is full of people being kicked out of Thailand on these visas, they were basically scammed by visa agencies that were operating fake schools 🙄. Social media is full also of people kicked out of Mauritius that were on Premium Visa (I think they discontinued that), which was 'proper' self-sufficient visa, which is disturbing... These people were on the right visa 🙁. Literally talked with dude that is on Investor Visa in Sri Lanka, married to a sri lankan woman and has mixed kids and HE has a problem. He went on to discuss with the government on 'immigrants issue' 😐. So no, it's not only me.

I follow this polish youtuber, she lives in China for many years and recently she was back in Poland and complaining about how everything in Poland is backwards 😂. So idk what happened there since she didn't tell her followers but she's back in Poland at the same time when everyone in Asia started having visa issues, ICE is hunting people down in US, etc, etc so maybe China deported her to Poland, who knows. Girl, come to Malaysia, shitloads of chinese people, food and stuff here 😆.

Hell, I'm just back from another chinese restaurant 😂. We were supposed to try thai cuisine for a change but we keep eating chinese 😂. Might as well just fly to China and check what's up 😂.

Also... No, I don't believe your friends are actually rich. If they were, they wouldn't do these 'worse' visas, they'd just qualify for Investor Visa and call it a day. They don't have enough funds for a proper visa lol.

I keep talking about EU to differentiate between EU-member countries and EEA countries that aren't part of EU like Liechtenstein, Switzerland, etc (I know UK isn't in EU anymore either but I don't consider this country anyway so yeah 😂).
What about Malaysia or something like that?
I did go here to see what possibility of immigrating I have but it seems it's more tricky than I though (still better than Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka immigration is a fuckin joke right now) + idk if I want to live here permanently. I mean I like to visit Malaysia, but not sure if I really love this country THAT much. Would probably like to visit again but whole year here is probably too much for me.
I don't mean to pry I am just genuinely interested.
Yeah, I wrote about this on a public forum. I don't know what to do, that's the whole point eh. I don't have any ties in Europe. Or pretty much anywhere. Only permanent address that I have, I have in Sri Lanka but I don't have a visa right now and had to leave 🙄.

Wooo, they started doing fireworks, omg! 😂 It's a bit early, somebody please explain to malaysians there isn't New Year yet 😂. So festive, huh.

Maybe I know 1000's of people in Thailand none are being kicked out could be simply who you follow for why you see it so much..

If you join a scam agency, that would happen all I know got the visas completed through a lawyer that's how people normally get a visa you either fill in yourself or pay someone to do it for you so not many issues.

As side note I got friend who has lived in Thailand for 20 years he can speak the language.Married local, I would consider him probably the smartest person on Thailand tough he's also lived in Laos as well he had bar their or other businesses.

I completed a few Visa applications for people since I took law in university, overall for Thailand, nothing to hard to do by oneself.

I get the Polish one, I think can explain that to you.

China has many good or interesting parts to it.

For example say you want to build a new product or computer you can very easily find highly skilled or intelligent people to make it for you however you want.

I got of my brother's before bought a phone £10 to be honest it one of the best phones I've ever used I am not lying or joking if I never lost it I probably keep using even the camera was really good much better Samsung stuff.

The phone was good as like £500 phone to compare

I lot of people love about China how everything kind of moves faster and you can also get away with crimes for simply being foreigner often not serious stuff but like low-end things.

Another thing my brother spoke highly on you can pay like £5 get like Gordon Ramsay-style food or eat load of food or drink for tiny money.

I think you know I am a big Indian food fan, but I will be fair in some of the trips back from China, I tried some of their food or the stuff was incredible.

@polecat Yeahhh, I get that you should be in asylum because of your ferret problem so it's best to not treat your opinions too seriously

@SilverClouds sounds like you need to do a bit of searching to find the place thats just right for you to settle and you can be happy and ease of visa.. Thats why I suggested doing a camper van gives you the freedom to move around, have a roof over your head + office and you can tour around the place till you find "home"

Hope you manage to get something sorted early into new year and find a nice happy place and location :)

If you had a British Passport i'd recommend Belize, but since you don't but are from within the EU from what i've gatherd i'm not sure. I've heard good things about travel visa rights within Estonia though.
