So I think it's time to update the website. While I like the design we get locked into custom deployments of admins and so on (example our store is now 4-6 versions out of date) and while it runs fine. I think a update and refresh is in order.. The design is 4 years old now as well. I think it looks good still, probably needs a refresh and some improvements as things have changed.

So in terms of e-commerce.

Any sites you like?

Any features you seen on your favourite site you like?

Just looking for ideas of things thats done well that I can take "creative" inspiration from.

Add wishlist, update images if you feel need to update a website. create a retailor and wholesaler price in difference.
As an example i want to order same products in bulk of 20 pieces so price would be differ as compare to single piece. Which will increase your sales either keep free shipping instead of price changing. Do something unique.
While opening website few products come up as an ad which were not in sales, so customer got to know you have these products too.

Yeah we don't tend to do wish lists because of the nature and price of the products.

We have a wholesale list which people buy direct rather than online - although moving that online MIGHT be an idea.

Free delivery we offer over £20 it used to be £10 and then £15 years ago. Helped build up the average basket. Next year it might go to £25 we will see how Royal Mail prices change if any this year...

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm looking for more design inspiration though :)

This one might be of interest to ya

The guys are really good at UX and CRO related articles

Looking at it from a performance marketer's perspective, did you see any changes in CvR in the last year or two?
Do you have session recording?

Not seen them before. Thanks.

We got screen sessions.

Most of the things that picked up we changed on the fly over the last few years. There are major things we need to improve down to user not wanting to scroll and that is.

1. Contents QTY information. Top of product page.

The only other real change then is:

2. Where we implemented that on category pages there has been a big spike in people adding to basket rather than going on the product page. However end of last year we introduced some variable product sizes (allowing customer to increase packet sizes) that option isn't on the category page.

So while it's good for us, some customers miss out on discounts.

Even though adding things like "From 1 - 25 units"

So would be nice to address that in a revamp.
