waittttttt
let me quote
At Google, we believe that secure, confidential communication should be available for organizations of all sizes. However, end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) email was historically a privilege reserved for organizations with significant IT resources, due to the complexity of S/MIME and proprietary solutions.
YES GOOGLE
YES
VERY VERY VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY reserved for the priviledged people
jesus christ

What do you use, dear @Rem ?
I actually had
Paid Google One (1TB)+
Microsoft 365 Family+
& Proton Unlimited

However, Google did piss me off about 2 years or so ago
so i unsubbed and told them to go fuck themselves.
stopped using my google personal email more or less.

it not about privacy or google stealing data or anything
it's just how google does business with it's core customers. Not a big fan of it.

Mind me asking, what exactly did Google do to make you say that?

Their Gift Cards System
I pay for alot of my subs and what not via Google Play Store.

Because, I can get them bulk for a good discount at a registered seller. It's no secret, My local supermarket Woolsworth/Coles can get me up to 10% off + additional benefits for them.
So if im buying 1k $ worth, i can sometimes get them for $900 + additional benefits like 100 off my next grocery bill, x off my next petrol.
Ontop of that, If I pay with ALL that via my credit card, you know, cc points etc.
Everything stacks up, points, benefits, discounts, bonuses etc.

Then one day, Google decided to block my account from adding Gift Card Credit.
I reached out multiple times and if it wasn't botted replies.
I get a, "your account was flagged due to it may be compromised"
So, I asked, how I can be unflagged. Why the living heck would you flag a paying customer who spending $$$ on your platform monthly.
But they will just keep just replying with this blurb
nothing else

Then, they went ahead and blocked all the gift cards I had purchased (since i attempted them all). So I couldn't redeem it on another account.

Horrible business practise.

Only a few years ago we could (and did) target ads on gmail based on email content and and domains users received emails from..

so personal still doesn't have encryption?
typical google
Doesn't matter
Your data encrypted or not, Google will most likely have spare keys and will still be using your data to profile you anyways.
