So sad. In the past anyone with a reddit account could just create an app to get reddit API access for that account, but not you need to fill out a form and wait to get approval.
Old API credentials still work so that is good, but now if you want to get API access on new accounts or just want to test things out, that is not going to happen. :(


can't test my DM scripts out now :(
 
Last heard a few months ago they claimed would charge for it, which was why so many apps had to shutdown for the cost to run it
that was like 2 years ago, I think they will make it fully paid or locked out since they're moving to devvit
