48 hours into building something.

Then things start to break apart, simple things like login pages, random paths, etc.

I open Reddit and Trustpilot, saw the vast majority of people have the same issues... things just break apart.

Okay, I am thinking of finding an alternative, like Lovable, but they have already been banned from Trustpilot for pushing fake reviews lol:

I am reading further, they are not good either, so no wonder why they had to flush their Truspilot with positive reviews.

Now I am getting petty, but Base44 was sold for $80 million... sounds cheap for something that revolutionary... I guess the devs knew the product was such crap that they wanted to get rid of it immediately.

Base44 offers no refunds, even if the technical issues are on their side, so keep that in mind before using.

Simply put, a negative experience.

Do you simple want to put in a few prompts then it makes you website or app?

I am far from a few prompts.

But I would benefit if the tool worked as advertised.

All these people can't be unhappy without a reason.

I see you need some kind of tool I was going to suggest making prompts doing it with Open A.I or something else but I think some kind of A.I site better option for making something than using your own prompts to do it.

Maaaaaan that's interesting

I had like a 95% success rate with that lovable/v0 version of base44

I've got $5 trial credit from that Google Event I went to for V0.dev if you want it

I am doing this actually.

I started off like this: ChatGPT designed my code and prompts and I pushed those into Base44

Somewhere I got lazy and started giving tasks to Base44 AI - I think this was the most probable cause of why things broke apart... their AI isn't up for the task really.

So Lovable is working for you? I have no issue paying them the $50 if that is the case.

But thanks for the offer!

I have tried lovable for a month, I hate credits systems.

Try dyad, you can download it and code locally with your AI API key.

Honestly, Lovable is great, I'd be f*cked if I didn't find Lovable early

V0 is definitely better in my opinion, but do give the free trials a shot

V0 actually sent out an announcement today/last night saying something like they're essentially V0 2.0 now

You tried Claude code for the app build?

I'll give them a shot. Will wait until a hired Dev responds back to me... well not hired yet but I plan to hand the site over someone who understands the code without using AI to write it.

If that doesn't work or they quote me an astronomical amount, I'll go with Loveable.

Nah.

Is it better than ChatGPT?

Nah.

Yeah from what I been reading it's light years ahead coding wise.

I've used it to build custom modules.

Got no complaints with it.

Theres been a ton of praise on hacker news about this version also.

Ok I'll see what my guy says.

If it's not working I'll go with Claude + Loveable.

Thanks

This is what I am dealing with.

Their own AI says they have issues:

To be true, you ask Lovable for react with shadcn and tailwind, ask for an auth system using supabase, then ask supabase for things like profile schema and stuff then you've everything done because it's just UI left for lovable to do

UPDATE:

Lovable sorted me out with a single command.

Needless to say I'll go with them so thanks for that.

I need to figure out how to add supabase and the rest later, as I didnt give it this command earlier but I guess it won't be a problem later (hopefully)

The damn Claude charged me 220 euros tho even when I signed up for a monthly plan, they somehow charged for a year so I guess I stay with Claude too now lol.

Happy days, I suggest you look into hooking that GitHub repo to VSC then you can access it in Antigravity and hook free models in at power to that copied template before you start taking cost on

Let me know if you need a video or two

Thanks.

I will definitely reach out to you at some point.

It is one of those days... all these tools decide to break at once... now Claude down:
