Implemented Any way to limit those complaints threads?

I don't mind those threads every now and then and as pissed as I am about my own thread getting derailed by idjits complaining about the complainers, I don't disagree with them about what those thread bring to the forum.

What do they bring? They're bringing lots of negativity that bleeds into threads like mine.

I know the mods here already move those out of the saloon, but I think something needs to be done directly to these to at least limit the discussions.

I'm going to do what those guys aren't doing and make a direct suggestion. I think those discussions needs to be moved to a mega thread. Maybe pick an existing one or the oldest one and just move all of the ones complaining directly about that other forum there.

You guys have kept out the AI and spammers but I think keeping out the negativity or at least limiting it would go a long way toward improving the forum.

The topic of those threads is becoming a bit much even for myself as this is the third time in the last month I've logged on to reports from members complaining about those threads or derailing other threads about them.

Another member said this, but as more people from that forum join, we'll undoubtedly have even more threads from others complaining about warnings, bans, and updates they don't like on there. We really don't need a thread every time a mod on there sneezes, so you are correct that something needs to be done about them.

Just to assess, there have been seven public threads created on the topic of that one specific forum.

Out of those seven threads, six of them threads complaining about it. That rapper thread isn't negative.

I'll look over what else can be done, but merging the current and existing complaints threads into a mega thread is feasible. Any future threads that get posted can be merged into that mega thread as well.

No need for seven upvotes on this. I'll update this feedback thread in a bit after making a final decision on the matter.

Edit: In regards to thread derailing, notices are already issued when members do that repeatedly. One-offs don't usually result in notices, but each time a member does this, a moderator makes a note on their account. If it becomes habitual, then a notice is issued from that point onward.

I believe those threads could positively impact this forum. Parasite SEO > When people search for 'BHW,' they'll likely come across these negative discussions about the issues happening over there.

This might encourage them to join this community instead.

Yeah, that's always possible. Although, if it's upsetting the current userbase this much, I believe it's better to prioritise how they feel about the content on the forum first and foremost, even if it isn't the best move in terms of SEO.

Doing things this way should allow members to continue having the freedom to post and also prevent these threads from cluttering the homepage and becoming more overbearing. Additionally, whilst I don't have a problem with the discussion of other communities, you could argue that it's for the best that these discussions don't appear on the homepage feed. It is just unfortunate that Discord and chat app threads won't appear on the homepage, but it's the best we can do for now.

We'll see how this goes as it's not a big deal to reverse this decision at a later date.

We'll see if this works but if another thread of mine gets derailed I'll be back in here to say to merge them into one discussion.

Getting the off the homepage is a good choice though.

I found your post pretty stupid to be honest. As it was a dig about the other place and then saying the quality of posting has improved here I found strange as I've never had an issue with any of the posts placed here most are informative. Then you start two threads because your feelings got hurt?
