Here on Office Outlaw, we have a feature we introduced on March 22, 2026 that allows users to send out mass alerts to mods or admins.

It's as simple as typing "@Mod" or "@Admin"!

Doing so will send out an alert to all of the moderators or all of the administrators.

Members can use their own discretion about whether they should mention mods, admins, or both.

Generally, if something is a moderation issue, use @Mod. If there's something wrong with the site or a loophole in the rules, use @Admin.

Cool! Let me try.

Wow nice to see that feature. I'll keep that one in mind!

Can I do this with others like those platinum guys?

No, but that can always been enabled at a later point.

It just won't be enabled for large usergroups like the basic "Registered" group everyone is in. Otherwise, someone could mass mention the entire forum. That's only 561 people right now, but as more people join, we don't need someone sending thousands of alerts out all at once.

Does this feature will work in DM's also ?
No. Staff can’t see your DMs unless they’re invited to them, so it would be like tagging a regular member in the Platinum section: they just wouldn’t see the alert.

However, this feature still doesn’t work if a staff member is in the DM as well.

This is awesome!
It's also cool that we can see the group if we click the tag.

We should add a "dont abuse this feature" rule.

I can even add custom icons for the groups as well.

In the event that someone tried that, the mass alerts would just get grouped together in the alerts system. If it ever became a problem, I can set it so that there’s a limit to how often someone can use the mass alerts in a day.

Now all we need is a @everyone that pings all users like discord.

Imagine being forced to see my delectable food images.

(Obviously jokes... Or is it?)
