I haven’t experienced any fluctuations myself but something about this update is that it’s going to take a few days to roll out.

Google says this is a standard spam update. It’s rolling out across all languages and locations and may take only a few days.

It was minimal. I'm not even sure if that was the reason for it, but I just hope it sticks.
