This social network might not be known to many but VK.com is like the Russian Facebook.

I heard about it myself before but I was wondering if there OO members who have tried social marketing or paid advertizing on it.

Did some paid ads there. It's the only social network that had more bot traffic than either Reddit and Twitter.
It was a few years ago so things may have became better, but I really doubt it.

VK is really only useful if you are targeting Russians. I used it quite a bit a few years ago, but it has become significantly harder to automate, as bans occur frequently nowadays. It may still be good for some niches, but it is primarily dominated by Russian speakers.

There is a very limited number of things you can sell online to russians. They don't buy random stuff online like the west likes to do. Maybe you can try casino offers, but other than that, your conversion rate will basically be close to zero.

What is it you are planning to run?

Russian Ecosystem seem too closed of to me for any legit camalign - even more than China, for it to be much use for anyone outside of Russia imho

If you can travel to Russia, meet people there, you'll find it useful. Otherwise, I don't see any point.

I bet conversion there is better than for Poland. ;)

I want to learn Russian, so I'll make an account there.

Factoring in that it is also a sanctioned country, shipping something there, let alone receiving payment, will be another issue.

Idk about shipping there but they seem to be using Kazakhstan, etc bank accounts for SWIFT access and they use crypto as well so I'd assume they can pay

Okay, got that. As far as shipping goes, I know that major carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL have suspended their direct services due to sanctions, so you would have to use what are called proxy shipping services. I believe these are more expensive, and delivery times also increase as a result.
