Having a blast over here with nearly every way under the sun to target businesses and individuals, I'm trying to see if there's anything direct that I'm missing out on

for example, weirdly good responses selling large format text prints for shop owners walls, shopfronts, etc. with all the upsell opportunities in the world...

For myself house, cogs for machines and machines. Engines? No way, just buy from mr alibaba.
For others... I could do... small robots? Dolls? Models of machines, prototypes. Ala LEGO bricks. Things like that.

Innovation beats the fuck out off upsells any day. Unless you're here just for... well, money... money is not very interesting object. It's just convenient to exchange value.

You could 3d print logos for companies to place on walls like behind a them when on a zoom call etc, then make it hollow and inlay with a battery led light.

You could go to a half decent size if you printed one letter at a time and designed in a way you could snap it together like a jigsaw.

I would also look at something like "prototyping my area" or "rapid prototyping my area" or "3d printing service my area" as local search and see what comes up. Before I got printers I used to keep the lights on at a local printing company I think lol

It's super niche but there is a need for someplace like that and if you build the site and let it sit you never know what might come up or what you get from it..
