I love that thing. I engineered my own 2 days ago. Custom bread with cheese, melted so well it was like eating american pizza! Very high calories and low value. Avoid to prevent... appetite for more. It's amazing!

What a satisfaction to invent own recipes and twist all parameters people don't even think about.

I make my own. Pic related. Fresh mushrooms from the forest, ideally Amanita rubescens. Some eidam cheese, onion, cheese spread, hellman's tartar sauce, ketchup, chives on top. It doesn't look like much, but it's absolutely amazing.

Yeh it's a bit obscure. There has been a "fast food" stand in my hometown since the early 90s doing exactly this type of zapekanka. So nostalgia definitely plays a role with this "dish".
