Has AI actually benefited you?

I keep seeing stuff about how AI hasn't benefited anyone but I don't understand that.

For me AI has been a game changer from everything like exercise to health questions and business.

Yes, but it's also annoying af to read AI and see it on every corner...

It says I'm a genius. Great fcker to confirm your bias. But it misleads you too. It's stupid and trusting this text generator can do more harm than good.

And it's cognitively draining, especially in people with cognitive problems. I did read even engineers get exhausted by those walls of text.

Using it for writing codes , creating images , videos etc.

Not sharing any personal details like health , business , finance etc .

I would say just yes. It has not impacted my work much, but that's impossible to quantify. And on a daily basis it saves me hours of time with research of various things.

But I do switch between LLMs often. I cancelled claude 2 days back as it's been lying in almost every answer. Not just lying, but straight up making up things, like models and types of items.

It's a tricky question.

We all benefit from AI because it helps us make things faster and sometimes better. That being said, it helps EVERYONE do things faster and better, so despite doing cooler stuff better, it just rose the collective bar rather than helped each individual deliver better work (because it's al relative, of course)

So given that everyone around us uses AI, it's definitely a huge help for us.
To whether it helped society as a whole? I'm not sure.

Yes, in some cases it is very useful. But it is still a danger to the online community, and I think some people still don’t realize that.

most people are not aware how intrusive AI will be in their daily life.
give it a few more years and you will see what ai products they will enforce on you which makes it a custodion over you against your will
I was in 2019 in a conference where they talked what products they will release to the public and its no fun

As much as I would love to say no, I would be lying of I did. It has helped a lot in a few ways.

As for how it will effect society in the long run. Only time will tell I guess. Interesting times.
