3D printing gets discussed here a lot, so a new 3D Printing prefix has been added to the Technology sections.

Older threads on this topic have also had this prefix appended to their titles.

The Beta Testing Hub has also been added to the side nav bar.

Okay, so we had the comments system beta released, but I had to roll it back as it conflicted with a few other things on the forum. One of these is a major conflict, so I'll be working on that before re-releasing the beta.

Currency exchanges have been added to rule 2.4 of our TOS as an illegal activity. This was based on a suggestion by @roydan that the community voted on. https://officeoutlaw.com/threads/ban-crypto-currencies-fiat-currency-exchanges.3830/

I've also applied a bug fix to the highlights feature. It's not one anyone noticed, but it is one that would've caused an error on the user's end had anyone come across.

The Trading Post page has been updated to include the Beta Testing Hub and the latest widget on that page now displays threads from that section. https://officeoutlaw.com/trading-post/

Finally, there was a bug with the drafts system that appears to have been caused by the new comments system. Whilst we were working out the issue, we temporarily disabled drafts, but found out that a better workaround was to simply disable the "Messages have been posted since you loaded this page. View them?" message that comes up when you save a draft. Personally, I've always found this Xenforo feature buggy and unsightly, but by just disabling the message, we were able to keep the draft feature. Even though the beta was rolled back for now, we're leaving this in place.

Design changes were made to the forum but have been reverted now due to issues being reported.

The character count for content tags has been increased from 20 to 30 after a feedback thread started by @t2van.

Also from a suggestion from @t2van, there were some Karma purchasables that were able to be gifted. This was an oversight and this has now been fixed.

I think gifting needs to be reviewed. Can you buy things like signature plus with money rather than Karma then? I think it should say 2000 Karma not $2.00 Also if the user already has those features do they need to be gifted if it's a one time purchase? If it expires after 12 months I could...

We're aware of a bug that affects the homepage feed and the what's new feed and we're actively working on fixing it. You can read more about the bug here. https://officeoutlaw.com/threads/ignore-needs-to-be-tweaked.3835/

The homepage feed has been reduced from 30 threads to 28 threads. This just makes it appear cleaner on standard 16:9 screens.

Today's update is a simple one to rebalance the Karma system further. More specifically, the following actions now have measures in place to discourage spamming:

• Following users
• Thread creation

The adjustment just limits how often Karma is awarded in a set period of time. This is to prevent someone from joining and farming Karma by spamming threads or following every user.

Creating posts in threads also now awards Karma and have the measures above implemented. This not being an event originally was just an oversight.

Finally, I've removed some old addons that we don't actually use here. Some of these were causing some minor instability issues with the forum, although I don't think anyone else really noticed it.

For now, I've changed the crypto payment option on the upgrades page to only accept Bitcoin. I'll add the others back at a later point after more purchases are made using this crypto payment feature.

Finally, the "Members" menu bar item has been added back to the main nav bar instead of being under "Forums". I don't know about anyone else, but I found it inconvenient to get to when it was moved under "Forums".

The public Downloads section and its threads are now viewable on the homepage to users who aren't logged in.

We also have a new prefix for The Saloon for Pets. Yeah, all of you discuss pets a lot more often here than you would think. Don't believe me? Click the prefix and see what I mean.

Just a few small updates today:

• A new trophy has been added. Just a "We Missed You" trophy for anyone who logs out for more than a week.
• The colour for Platinum has been slightly adjusted. I wanted Platinum to look a little less brilliant than OG Platinum, so I made regular Platinum darker.
