I have a pair of Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds. I bought these back when I could still afford them in 2024 for $300.

So look, they lasted a couple of years, but the right earbud broke on me a few days ago. The Bluetooth, haptics, and all of that still work. Sound just intermittently comes out of it, like there’s a loose connection.

I tried to fall back on my Samsung Galaxy Buds from 2020, except now these have some issues because the batteries degraded over time. Also, one earbud tends to die far faster than the other for some reason.

Isn’t that just great?

Does anyone have any recommendations for replacements I can eventually get? I only use them for listening to music on my music player, but I have flac songs and prefer earbuds that can support ldac or aptx.

I don’t have a price range since I plan on getting replacements later when I can afford them again.

Na, this would make you king in the neighbourhood, you are cool Z so you can pull this vibe off easy.

I promise you you'll never hear the difference between MP3 192 kb/sec and FLAC.

I've produced music for 20+ years (as a hobby, of course) and I don't know a single person who can.

I get the flac versions so I don’t accidentally get poorly-encoded versions of a song like I used to when I would get them off YouTube.

I was trying to say that I want earbuds that are good for listening to music and have features geared to that specifically rather than for making phone calls or listening to podcasts.

Soundcore Space A40 are probably what you're looking for. I have a pair for music and they have ANC and support LDAC. Battery lasts a while too.

They're pretty cheap and you can usually find them on sale for like $50.I don't know how they compare to those sennhieser ones but I bet ya they'll last longer than 2 years lol

I took a quick look at these and they seem pretty good, especially at that price.

I don't know how to word this, but how bad is the screeching noise when ANC is turned on with those? On the MTW4 earbuds, it was very distracting. In fact, those earbuds generally had a high-pitched whining noise that I didn't like. All earbuds seem to have this to some extent regardless of having ANC or not, but it's far worse on the MTW4 than it is on the Galaxy Buds.

no wireless if you don't want to have issues with your ears in the future.
The heat it generates in your ears causes serious longterm damage

Not the earbuds 😭.

It's easier to get high quality sound from wired ones anyway... Wireless are comfy tho.

Hmmm actually I have this problem.

I'd fight a man suggesting anything other than Sennheiser for quality earphones.

Headphones are just another ball-game all-together. Sennheiser on top.

Yeah, I have a pair of HifiMAN Anadas that I use sometimes as well. Although, it’s difficult to exercise with those on.

Yea bro it’s got that electric whining noise when you turn anc on but I don’t notice it most of the time. Better to have anc on then some background noises at least for me.

I think the ldac only works on android devices btw.
