Google has always allowed you to request that content be removed from Google Search via the legal DMCA request form. But in the past year or so, this legal route has become a negative SEO nightmare. Real content, owned by the original publisher and website, has been removed from Google Search due to fraudulent DMCA requests that Google is complying with, even though they are not legit.

The Press Gazette posted about the second time it had content removed from Google over these fraudulent DMCA takedowns. Even Search Engine Land had content removed last March over this fraud and Moz had this happen in 2022. I see complaints about this daily and it seems to be a growing issue.

To be fair, Google did sue over companies weaponizing the DMCA request route in 2023. But honestly, since then, the situation has only become more of an issue. There are even companies blackmailing sites with fake DMCA notices.

I am surprised this is news. It's happening in Google Search and YouTube as well, where fraudulent DMCA claims are used to take down videos. Google has never cared about verifying their legitimacy.

ah, what these guys are doing again on BHW... can't they just stick to reuploading YouTube videos which is close to impossible without ton of engineering today though

since everyone uses AI, time to go back to negative SEO, folks

like you couldn't just use this AI to build authority in many niches, then sell bullshit and monetize ad impressions

probably most of those DMCA reports are automated... silly boys

It's not the system. It's the biology. You only live once.

People at the top manipulate and they don't have time to think how much. They just do. Because as I said, you only live once and you either take a lot of it or literally suffer.

Boredom is fcking suffering. Example, see how jail or prison mess up with people's heads. You're bored and limited to maximum there. It just tells you this message... stop living with idiots who put you into jail and live with someone who can manipulate in more reasonable way.
