Would you say most anti AI people are just jumping on the hate bandwagon so they can get some quick external validation?

I ask because there is a principle in psychology called social proof.

If we see other people hating something we feel the urge to jump in usually with our uninformed opinions just to feel a part of something.

Fascinating to watch the antis cry and moan about it probably due to their own garbage life so they get some external validation if they post "I hate AI" and get upvotes/likes.

Their psychology is: I don't understand AI whatsoever so I'll hate on it because other people around me are hating on it therefore I get validation and feel better about myself.

Side note: this is why we look at reviews before buying something btw.

Man, learning human behaviour is so fun.

It's all about human psychology once you get that you can sell just about anything
Apart from myself to the ladies apparently.

Yea bro but not all of them. Lots of ppl hating on it cause they lost their jobs to it or cause the ai cant suck their dicks. Other ppl hate on it cause it’s cool to hate on it.
My AI Girlfriend can't suck me dry yet but give it 5 more years!

Yeah I love applying the principles of influence to these sorts of things.

It's so fun.

You should start an ai dating channel seriously you will be an early adopter haha

I don't care about any validation or psychological truths, I have hated the AI ever since I've first heard that it exists, and my passion for hating it is undying and never incentivized :)

I hope this answers your question... and yes, I know that I am not "most" people and can only speak for myself, but I'm assuming that this is what everyone else is doing too, so...

I don’t know about most but I think some definite are.

Some people just hate learning, some think they know everything, but I can't get my head around the people that think it's cheating

That business I lined up, I'd be out of a job, list of references, and the position I'm training for, without AI... What's the point in missing out on opportunity

yes
most ppl dont even understand how AI actually even works.

And then they complain about how AI is destroying everything... On social media.... Which is powered by AI.

Funny af

AI existed before covid
they probably wont believe that
lol exactly.

nah cuz they like to jump on the hate bandwagon to get some external validation.

So it's basically always I HATE (CURRENT-THING) REEEEEEEE

Why would you hate something that also gives you the chance to increase your productivity plus give you the chance to increase your earnings???

Why would you hate in the first place?
Waste of energy and emotions that would be positive ones.

Anger is for noobs in life.

They hate on AI because they can't use it properly. This is my bet.

robbing banks can give me chance to increase my earnings, and slavery would give me chance to increase my productivity too. This doesn't mean that I should do these, it's about morality and stuff...

Also, the AI is not really AI until it connects to the human psyche, that's when it gets an intelligence "of its own" (it will obviously not be its own), until then it's intentionally mislabeled AI. It's basically just scripts stealing people's content...

What about AGI that's what you referencing to right when it comes to human psyche?

I think some people definitely jump on the bandwagon because it's a popular opinion in certain circles, but I don't think that's true for most. There are plenty of people with genuine concerns about things like jobs, copyright, privacy, or misinformation. Probably a mix of both.

This meme I saw is so true:
