March 26th 2025,

It's a day to recognize the importance of math in our lives and to encourage people to participate in math-related activities.

The word,
"mathematics" is derived from the Greek word "mathema"

Meaning : "knowledge, study, learning".

How good you at maths?
Do you remember your maths Mark?

I hate math
I failed math B & math C actually back in high school C:

I was really good at math when I was younger, but I my grades were always inconsistent each year.

A big part of the problem I faced was that teachers didn't like that I didn't listen to them in terms of how to do it. I was insistent on using formulas I developed and said that the formulas they were teaching were inefficient. I was a little cocky, but because of that, teachers would dock my points for not listening to them, even though the answers were correct.

On the hand, I had some math teachers who really liked that I did, and would thusly reward me for doing so.

Math is very important and I use it every day for finances and even around the house when I'm working on home improvements.

That's Good to know about it..

I m not so Good, my teacher used to tease me during the class.. asks so many questions, make fun of me, whole class laugh 😅 at me..

Those discourages made me to concentrate more in the subject & at the end of exam, I did well and scored Good decent marks..

Yeah, math is very important - Some people don't realise because of the age.. when they grew up, they will understand how important..

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you.

In my senior year of high school, I had a friend named Jessica who struggled a bit with math as well.

In the middle of class, the teacher asked her to answer an equation and she struggled to answer it. People started laughing at her, and this upset. I tapped her on the shoulder and just told her that I know she can do it, just to give her a confidence boost. She did manage to answer it correctly.

Math is a muscle, and sometimes, it also helps to have some encouragement from others in the subject. You sound a lot like me where discouragement fuels you to do better, so of course I like that as well.

Yeah brother math is SWEET!

Thanks for starting this thread!

Those are not at all discouragements..

Teacher does for student to study well,
At kids point of view, we gets anger towards teacher, hates & very few only understand behind teacher Mind..

Apppreciated, what you did to your friend Jessica..
You remember her still , that's a Good thing..

Now, two question runs on mind to ask ;)

Do you still have friendly contact with Jessica ? If so just talk to her and share some memories 🥰..

Does @Impulse know Jessica or impulse is Jessi ☺️

Brother, Not Sweet for Everyone..

Maybe salty for few, sour for some, bitter for many & savoury for quite very few like @UnusualSubstance :)

I will keep creating these kind of threads .. Thank you ❤️

She was very nice to me, so I remember her well.

I lost contact with her after high school. I did find out what she was doing a little later, and last I saw, she wasn't doing too well, so it was sad to see.

@Impulse never met her.
