Everything You Need To Know About Platinum Members

I created this status once we hit 200 members as a way of showing appreciation to those of you who I once recognised as leaders in this community through a criteria I previously created.

For Office Outlaw, I've developed an entirely new criteria built around how our forum works. We'll be keeping this criteria to ourselves, but something new is that promotions are done automatically by our system once you meet the full criteria.

If you want to become a Platinum Member, just be yourself, be helpful around the community, and be active on the forum. However, to throw everyone a bit of a bone, I will say what it's based on:

• A message count expectation
• A reaction score expectation
• A karma expectation
• A trophy expectation
• An account age expectation

Users with the following will be ineligible for promotion and will not be automatically upgrades.

• Too many notices
• Chargebacks on their account.
• Admins, Founding, OG Platinum, and existing Platinum
• Active Tribunal threads.

There are no additional charges or expectations from you for for being a Platinum member. Additionally, there's no requirement to purchase any membership here to become a Platinum member.

Update February 25, 2026: There's an OG Platinum level from before we enabled the automatic upgrades. Note that similarly to Founding, this OG user level is permanently locked to new users.

No, but your status is higher and has more benefits.

I spent some time re-working the criteria for Platinum. Upgrades will happen automatically now.

I won't reveal the exact criteria, but I will at least say what it's based on.

Broad criteria:

• A message count expectation
• A reaction score expectation
• A karma expectation
• A trophy expectation

It’s actually just a Platinum trophy since the OG Platinum is unattainable to new members and I want trophies to be earnable by anyone.

Anyway, both OG and regular Platinum members get it.
