I heard Linux Mint is pretty user-friendly, although the general advice I've heard about Linux is that ones that try to just copy Windows tend not to be very good. Supposedly, Linux Mint isn't like that, but does have the same user-friendliness in terms of hot keys and navigation.

Hey, welcome to OO! Like @Dopious said, there are rules here, although we've tried making them looser here so as to not make members feel like they have to walk on eggshells, as you said.
