I realise we have, on the whole, become a much more intolerant society, than the one I grew up in.
Hurting someone's feeling via words not only seems, but in my opinion is, highly subjective.
I felt there was nothing in my statement that the vast majority of users would disagree with.
However without discourse, the ability to defend my statement and possibly be corrected on my opinion is lost.
As
@Champagne pointed out "
Yes, most scam call centres are based in India" True. And "
but not everyone is a scammer there" I totally agree with.
And if you had simply replied with that statement I would have agreed with it, putting into context my opinion on the subject.
But now by deleting my original comment, no one has the opportunity to put their point forward as to why I hurt their feelings. Or maybe to agree with the statement and offer their reasoning.
Anyone reading this thread will now, no doubt speculate on what I wrote - go to the darkest spaces in their mind and form opinion's about me I cant defend.
Weather
@Crazy Lucifer was actually offended by those perceived hurty words, or they were farming kudos from the staff... again. is highly subjective.
If such a statement sets the bar for acceptable tolerance, then I'm obviously in the wrong place.
