What were the last two adventures you went on like trekking, traveling, camping, or anything exciting? I’d love to hear your stories!

Let’s start with mine.

My last 2 were:

1. Dzukou Valley Trek, Nagaland, India (17km) in February, 2025:

It was one hell of a effed-up trek. The first part was so steep and hard that while climbing, I thought, why did I even do this in the first place? But somehow, I managed to climb, and after that, it was a long trek but very, very pleasant.

The whole valley has no electricity or any population. There was only one campsite. My buddy and I rented a tent. The temperature outside was -20 to -40 degrees Celsius at night, and the tent was covered with frost. We had a fun night with a bonfire and our Old Monk rum.

In the morning, we went to see the frozen stream and the valley. It was like a dream with frozen water and the frosted plants all around felt magical. The return trip was even harder, and my legs were shaking like crazy while climbing down. There were no stairs, just plain mountain slopes with rocks.

It was one hell of a trek to remember.

Few images clicked using my mobile camera:

2. Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek, near Cherrapunji, Meghalaya, India (3500 steps + some walking) in April 2025:

This trek had a mix of stairs and plains, but we had to climb uneven stairs, around 3,500 steps and more walking.

Again, my legs were shaking, but in the end, I saw many amazing things like the single-decker living root bridge, a fish pond, and the double-decker living root bridge.

It was another trek to remember. I tried uploading images, but they are still too large, even after I compressed them. I wish I could upload some images.

I would love to hear about your last 2 adventures.

2. Mudumalai - Nilgiri Hills is the village of Mudumalai. Bordered by mountain ranges - gratifying challenge of mountain trekking.

Wow, both of them look amazing! I would love to trek them someday.

I have been to Mullayanagiri peak in Chikmagalur many years ago. I think it's the same Western Ghats as the Nilgiri Hills, right?

Yes, but not officially part of the Nilgiri Hills,

If you asked me for last 2 only,
If you asked me for more..

I love climbing hills.. most of the short to long mountains nearby covered..

Still plan for more new mountains to climb in the near future! 🧗‍♂️

Same here! I’ve also done many treks in Northeast India, as well as in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand - through the high Himalayas, including Spiti Valley, Auli, and more.

Still plan for more new in the near future!
You should visit our Northeast India sometime. There are long trails with no roads - just untouched nature, especially in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram etc.

My spouse and I spent a week in Phuket in 2023, and we absolutely fell in love with the vibe at Patong Beach. It was the perfect spot to enjoy Chang beers with fruit salad at the beach shacks while dipping our feet into the soft white sand.

I still remember the cafe right on the beach where we had the most amazing clam meat pizza. Every night, the beach used vibrate with music and bass until 2 AM.

However, the sunset was even more breathtaking at Kata Beach.

@Dopious Did you visit Maya Bay on the same trip? It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life.

Na, just Patong, was in Kamala Beach with my son on another more family oriented trip once though years ago.

I'd definitely suggest not missing a day trip to Maya Bay and the nearby Phi Phi Islands, as well as sunset at Kata Beach next time you're in Phuket.

I like Phuket, but not the strip. I actually like all of Thailand we have been to.

Found out a couple of days back Kyle Roof has bought a bar in Chiang Mai, less than a year after we met up in Bangkok and I told him I had a bar of my own.

My last 2 trips were leisure, Scotland the other month to a nice town called Granttown On Spey, very scenic.

Our main trip before that we did a week in Dubai then a week in Bangkok then a week back in Dubai which was last year.

We were going to attend a couple of SEO conferences but changed our minds, as these just end up in heavy drinking sessions.

My lastest near death experience was when I locked my daughter's tablet because she needed to take a shower.

That was insane.

I did some crazy shit back in the day, I've beed to the army and all.. nothing prepared me for this.
