Do you think agentic commerce is going to kill off the self hosted platforms that companies use now and force you to integrate with hosted platforms like Shopify over your own hosted solution in order to make the store more accessabile to AI agents.

Is this the change and future for ecommerce online and a big shift in how things work now?

I think it's cool and all, but trust signals and shipping costs, refund policies and other things AI relies on in recommendations (not to mention reviews, social media, etc) are pretty much tied to the site itself.
CRO will be a little less important, but you'll still need a working store and functional store. I doubt they'll even accept a feed from thin air.
