I'm not going to talk about AI in it's entirety as it's too vast, but regarding it's use to essentially 'fast track' indexing, although I agree with it in principle, i'm going to be a bit skeptical here and say if not the intent from the start, that it's at least already being 'misused' for bias to some extent. Many big sites with heavy user engagement, namely social media sites, already have their own AI partnerships. But if we're defining objectivity; high quality information here as: facts supported by evidence, why are they using and even paying such sites as datasets, even though many have been and still are notorious for strong sociopolitical bias and even largely being used as platforms for bot farms? So although it's agreeable in principle, there's just way too much handwaiviness regarding it's use at this stage to be certain it's going to be used to recreate or enhance any research and queries objectively as the 'old way' did and not just totally skew off on to their own biased tangents instead.
