Anyone else having this issue? I thought maybe power button is broken so I set it up to tap to unlock and unlock when held and it KINDA helped for a moment but now it's black and doesn't want to unlock right away even when I use these alternative unlocking methods. I just tap tap tap histerically on a black screen sometimes, jeez. Is the phone hardware about to fail? This shiz infected? I clicked something wrong on RethinkDNS and I fucked my phone? It's just overheating maybe?

🤷🏻‍♀️

Started doing that today.

Seems like a glitch or something, try to do a restart.

Yeah, maybe my phone needs to cool itself down with bobba tea too, then take a swim in the pool... Wait.

That said I keep having declined transactions on my Revolut while I'm sleeping 😐 so trying to figure out if 'only' my card details got stolen or I'm having a banking trojan situation here. Charges from places like Egyptian Museum or this https://community.ricksteves.com/tr...o-cc-will-not-allow-transaction-to-go-through

Haven't installed shit other than TnG and every malaysian uses that, it's a major app. Maybe one of whitelabels tries to empty my card idk. Honestly my biggest issue is I'm unsure if only card is a problem or phone is infected too.

The only times I’ve had issues like this was when the screen itself broke. Both were Android, but they were those smart flip phones.

Would it be a big deal if you factory reset the phone, just to be safe?

Yes, I'll do that, looking at instructions rn 😬. I see it logged me out of Wise and TnG doesn't open(!). I wonder where I got this, though. Oh jeez. Seriously thinking one of cheap whitelabels might be doing that (not the Google Ads guy, no) since that happened first time when I ordered with them. Now I know why they're cheap, I guess 😬. Unless it's from somewhere else and just timing was close. Like, basically they didn't steal shit since banking apps security worked but yeah, someone keeps retrying. Tbf maybe it's a good idea to do a factory reset every couple years just to have a fast phone but jeez, now not only clients ask for free shit but someone is also trying to card me 🙁. On the plus side I just made a sale yesterday that'll pay our yesterday's shopping spree but it's also... Reselling from that suspicious place 😬. Unless I got infected somewhere else idk. Or TnG itself wants to scam tourists hahaha, all the transactions are very 'touristy', feelin' like a tuktuk scammer victim but straight on my phone 😂.

It sounds more like a hardware issue than a virus or anything similar. It could be a loose connection that's causing the screen to stop working intermittently. I had the same issue a few years ago, and it turned out to be a problem with the internal wiring.

I thought so too, maybe power button physically wearing out, it's a thing on Nokia's. Or overheating, idk. But then all financial apps except Revolut started running for their life (ie they either logged out or don't open at all) and Revolut started trying to send money to random places while I sleep. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I thought only my card details leaked out but it kinda looks like a banking trojan. The fuck I caught this?? 😂 My luck huh. Screen magically fixed itself in Safe Mode so again, it seems to be a software issue.

Yeah yeah yeah, it does that. That explains why freezing my cards didn't work, it just clicked around in Revolut via HVNC 😬. How the fuck I randomly caught a turkish trojan??? 😂 Typical.

Still not 100% positive that TnG QR code wallet itself isn't malware 😂 but then, it ran away from the trojan so maybe it's innocent, idk. Maybe new whitelabel has exploit pack on their site. Or one of apps I installed before had inactive malware before and it started acting up now. Idk, I'm perplexed because I didn't install shit other than TnG recently.

This is how you make millions. Plant bullshit in a popular app as a developer and bank hard.

Can you confirm activity on another device?

Sounds like Revlout app might be locked in a notification loop and its blacked / bricked your phone till the battery has died. It was a common thing on some apps like this if you had a notification when the screen was locked or you watched a video you would get a notification loop that ended up locking up your phone till it died.

If not.

Freeze everything. New cards and so on. RIP phone lol

No, it's infected, all banking apps other than Revolut either logged out or refuse to start and it tries to empty my Revolut during the night even with cards frozen. It seriously looks like someone just uses VNC on my phone, makes the screen black to hide what he/she is doing, is unfreezing (!) the cards and tried to do transactions but they don't go through since what they use to launder money gets auto declined by Revolut. That's for a factory reset, like @Zwielicht said, just trying to figure out how I got infected so I won't get reinfected, that's my concern. In Safe Mode it can't click shit but I also don't have Messenger so my clients need to nanny themselves, I'm unavailable heheheh. I'll do a factory reset and will probably not use any banking on my phone for a while after that till I figure out how to not get reinfected. Honestly this is something to watch out for since freezing cards didn't do shit.

That's crazy. Glad you figured it out!

You know what.

Buy an iPhone.

And... use 2 phones.

Like Kevin Gates.

If you have 1 iOS for safety.
And Android for bullshit... testing... games... all things that can contain trojan...

Trojan concept is fascinating.

It's not as aggressive as ransom in most cases.

I would develop my own, but I don't see hacking someone's accounts

I know couple people run businesses around hacking accounts but... it's so dirty and it doesn't pay millions easily...

iPhones are so good for business and switching between apps...

Really good business tools resembling toys but in reality it's so good at organic marketing. It's not so useful for paid ads though.

I like to do stuff from my bed or from McDonald's, so I like phones. They're not heavy as laptops. Easier on my head.

Actually thought about separate phone for banking or just doing banking on laptop mostly + physical card. Somehow Revolut wants me to confirm on phone anyway even when logging in on a computer though 😐.

Android has Shelter/Work Profile and Private Profile thing so maybe I'll be able to put most apps in separate profile/sandbox/idk. Jeez.

Oh I love trojans! Well, maybe not when they try to empty *my* accounts 😬. But I used to do Windows trojans actually, while using Linux full time as my actual OS. The thing is nowadays you need access to phone, because all verification things are on phone, so hacking someone's computer won't do shit. Basically yeah... You need to do what he/she was doing - click (tap? 😂) on someone's phone to transfer stuff out. Still didn't work because his payment partners were flagged as scammers. It's very complicated to do. Hopefully there won't be any actual charges... I uninstalled Revolut while in Safe Mode so hopefully now we both can't access this. Unless I'm missing something. But I think he can't access because he needs to confirm on my phone and infection is stopped temporarily + Revolut uninstalled.

Hacking is boring... let's be honest... it's not as cool.as green captions in the movies.

The biggest hacking I've done is hacking minds of people. I think it's good way to look at this.
