Holidays Anyone else avoid their family during the holidays?

Seriously who else avoids their family during the holidays and just pretends they've got work to do?

Some family members, sure. But it’s always nice to spend time with people you actually care about.

Wife & children nah love to be around them.

Her parents we see on thr 19th I think then not at all till 29th so bonus.

My side. We don't speak so that's easy. Well my sister in recent years we gotten back to knowing each other but we do our own thing.

We got holiday booked for 2026 but I've booked and paid for it all so it won't be shit... Only thing can go wrong is weather or terrorist

I avoid about 60% of my family all year lol..

I am not married yet, so I spend time with my parents, and sometimes we go to have dinner.

My birthday is on the way, so we are going to have dinner that day.

The only close relative that's still alive is with me and we're buds (that wasn't always the case) sooo I don't have to travel to her. The rest of the family is either RIP or from the side of the parent that had deprivation of parental authority so yeah, I don't talk with them.
