Anyone else getting RTO demands by employer?

Alot of companies are making RTO demands.

If you don't know what RTO is it's return to office.

One of my remote jobs is making that demand but I work a few hours away from their office. They know this but still demand RTO.

I can quit that one and just live off the one job but wtf is going on with all of these places demanding RTO all of the sudden? I know I'm far from the only one getting this and I see it all the time on social media.

Not me but my mom was getting that. Well she got fired instead actually but she was getting RTO emails before that.

It was bound to happen at some point..
Honestly, employees were a lot more productive at the very beginning but at some point productivity dropped sharply.
Most took advantage of that rather than make the best effort to keep it going.

Another problem is that people cooperate better with people they met. This is a rather weak point IMO but I can somehow relate to it as well.
