Under Consideration Auto Merging Double Post

Hey guys,

We all know how problematic double posting can be, especially for newer members who aren’t fully familiar with the forum yet. They often don’t edit their posts within the allowed timeframe or want to add something after the editing window closes, which results in double or even triple posts back to back.

Since merging posts becomes tedious for the staff over time, and it's one of the most used tools for dealing with post count inflation, maybe we could consider adding the following add-on:

[DCom] Auto Merge Double Post

Auto Merge Double Posts Automatically merge posts from people that haven't yet understood what this dubious edit function is. Features include: Permission-controlled automated double post merger. New in the plugin: AJAX message loading Added...

P.S. This probably won’t get many upvotes since it doesn’t directly affect the public side of things, but it would definitely help things run more smoothly on the backend.
