Can we have a "banned" user role that has a higher priority than all the roles we have apart from admins, so even if you are founding member you do not have this color scheme.

The explanation previously gives was that even if you're banned it doesn't delete your past contributions.

Not sure what I think about that, honestly.

If I never ate a single person all my life, went to work every day, contributed to society, donated to charity, fostered abandoned cats and whatnot, suddenly, cooked and ate a kid. I'll probably be remembered as the nut job that ate a kid rather than the guy that donated to charity and fostered stray cats.

No ones remembered for giving to charity mate.

I guess stuff works differently here at accountant-ville. We remembers all sorts of tax deductable things.

Well that might be right, but having the "banned" user role above founding member would make his name gray which would make it easier to notice that it is a banned member

So it would be

[Banned] [Founding Member] etc.

To be honest I agreed with your initial suggestion more than with the current status.

Seeing as this already has 7 upvotes, I can add a “Banned” badge in that goes above all other badges in the case of permanent bans. It’ll change the username to grey as well.

Temporary bans will still just be a strike-through.

Regardless of what someone does later on, I would prefer to still recognise their past contributions when I can. It’s also why members remain on the Sapphire or Patron lists after they’re banned (unless they chargeback or are issued a refund).

Mainly, I want to avoid just removing everything and pretending “Oh, they never helped out with the forum” or “They never actually did anything”. That rewriting history tactic never sets a good precedence.

If you ever have alternative suggestions though, definitely mention them as I’m always interested.

Okay, this has been implemented. You can read about it in the changelog here: https://officeoutlaw.com/threads/the-official-changelog.7/post-40339

Umm.. didn't we have it? I remember a grey member. Two actually.

When was it removed?

We had it originally, but there were some issues with it, so it was removed a few months back.

When I set it back up just now, I properly configured it this time, so those issues should also be resolved now.
