It's been recently acquired by the evil overlord automattic which went to war with our @Festinger Vault
But the app itself sounds pretty darn interesting.

Surely, you guys are in the same bot.
You have people wanting to connect but every of the damn bonks uses a different platform, whether its IG, telegram, whatsapp, messneger, discord etc.

So.. if you use it or will use it
gib me your experience.

Philosophical question - will fb/messenger ban me for using that? Lol. Actually very useful if it doesn't steal passwords and doesn't get you banned on the official app.

I heard of similar stuff before but never heard of many using it.

I can recall me using in the past some kind of software on Linux which would allow Telegram,Apple version of messenger,whatapp.wechat or viber all work from within one app .

This is the future. All passwords in one place, all chats in one place, all social media apps in one place, all games in one place, etc. There are so many apps and tools available that it becomes difficult to keep track of things.

That would actually be really nice to have for business use... running all socials in one place.

I already liked using Meta Suite so this sounds really cool... though I haven't heard of Beeper until now.

i havent been looking much into it
but it seems like they upgraded to an on-device system as opposed to cloud
meaning, they really never have access to your chat history anymore (even if it was ee2e)

I use Beeper. It absolutely was worth it. Even the paid plan so you can use two whatsapp accounts.

Don't be put off by it being an Automattic product, all the mullenweg drama regarding WP aside, they have made some solid apps. Blocknotes is another good one for Apple ecosystem. Quick note taking that collects no data. Only problem I have with Beeper nowadays is disconnection issues on certain apps are becoming more frequent. If you are not convinced you can use the bridge-manager software to self-host via matrix and even by-pass and get paid features for free. It's a great app for what it does.

since rambox isn't working since yesterday, i connected to beeper and been using it today, been so far so good.

Specifically Instagram and FB for some reason get stuck in some kind of login loop even with background permission all set (funnily not had a problem with whatsapp) Login method doesn't seem to make a difference.

Something possibly to keep an eye if you started hsong it, haven't even specifically been able to figure out if it's a me problem or them problem frankly . Not a biggie as I barely use either as a personal platform thankfully

I am shocked about rambox though. Never used it. But know all about it and it was on my shortlist of apps. Have you tried Ferdium as a drop in?

I had Rambox since hmm since 2020

made my money back with the $144 i paid for Lifetime

So not too bad at it, but it does have its moments, and it does have some app delay at times.

Have you tried Ferdium as a drop in?

I have, for some reason it just never sticked to me
altho that was years ago back
Have not tried it recently
