Hey everyone,
I’m looking to learn Google Ads and would really appreciate any recommendations for a beginner-friendly course that’s up-to-date. My main goal is to start promoting my services locally within my city, so something practical and easy to follow would be ideal.

You don't need anything more than Google Ads' certificate program IMO.
It's pretty up to date and cover many different types of campaigns.
Just a pinch of salt here and there, like in most courses.

I agree with this as well. When I was learning PPC, Google’s official certificate program covered all the basics.

I also liked getting that certificate to use on my profiles as well, so that was a plus.

Came in here to say that the official Google Ads course is all you need. Literally it tells you all the basics about the platforms and about PPC. I remember there being some advanced strategies in there.

Remember they want you to succeed and spend more money with them.

I wouldn't say 'succeed', but they definitely want you to spend as much as possible.

A big part of being a PPC guy is to navigate the complex interests web of different advertisers and Google to make decisions that serve both your and Google's interests.
