Not only is it October but now "Black Friday" lasts all of the way until the 1st of December.

Marketing in UK is broken

It's a race to the bottom.. so many shopping holidays in November, many brands here made it one long holiday as well.

100% a bottom race.

It's the same as always going out of business sales.

Most of these big corporations can't cope without a constant sale. Says alot about the economy

It's marketing and sales teams that are tracking/measured by no. of sales or revenue instead of gross profit.

No wonder. A lot of companies make a ton of money on Black Friday. When I was doing Amazon affiliate work a few years back, the best days were always Black Friday. I’d make literally about 90% more profit than on any other day.

Yeah but the clue is in the name.

I'm on about companies dragging a 1 day sale event out of the entire month.

Watering down what that event is all about with inflated price reductions which are not reductions to start with.

If you have to reduce that much for the entire month to drum up sales maybe the prices are too high to start with.

It's just marketing bollocks.

Id bet they would see more traffic and sales if they done the one day but with a larger discount.

I get it's about getting customers in and the old juicy email list build up, but geez. Full 28 / 29 days early

Is Black Friday offers going on our forum too?
